Partnership Approach achieves a Premium Finish
A combination of Petal’s premium full height cubicle ranges – Esteem and Line Ultra – set the scene of exceptional standards which continues throughout this government building in Ireland’s premier city.
Working alongside the client’s inhouse architect and with fit-out sub-contractor Duggan Brothers, Petal underwent a lengthy product and technical submittal review process to gain approval for the complete job, after having initially being specified for only a part of this project. The full remit of this project includes staff changing rooms in the building’s basement, a visitor toilet at ground floor and male and female washrooms on the remaining 4 floors of the building.
At basement level, Petal’s full height cubicles in Abet’s striking Dark Blue were used for both WC cubicles and spacious combination shower and changing cubicles, giving the ultimate in privacy to the user. These cubicles were complete with Petal’s Action bench seating and coat rails in a matching décor laminate finish to achieve the ultimate in both sophistication and convenience for the user.
The bright blue tone was replicated in the scheme of Action 2 lockers which provides the utmost privacy for staff, utilising the advanced Ojmar OCS Pro digital locking mechanism. These robust lockers with their aluminium bodies and 10mm CGL doors are ideal the withstand the damp conditions of a changing room environment. This staff area is complete with additional Action bench seating and solid surface vanity stations complete with removable under panelling.
To give a distinct feel to the upper floors of this building, the architect selected an Umber Brown colour scheme for the male and female toilet cores in the remaining areas, with a P200 Advanced Panel System wall panelling chosen for WC and urinals. This was complemented by a dark brown wall tile which deepened a neutral earth tone to the colour scheme, which was then offset beautifully by white floor tiles and solid surface vanity trough units – which contributed to a minimalist feel to the aesthetic. In functional terms, the vanity units are complete with removable under panelling which gives easy access for maintenance purposes.
No stone was left unturned in this project in the quest for a premium finish and Petal worked in partnership with the project architect to achieve the desired result. This included help and technical expertise in helping provide the necessary documentation to assert the sustainability credentials of the Petal range, which helped the building achieve the required efficiency status.
