Belfast Waterfront Hall

Petal’s range of quality washroom solutions has helped transform part of Belfast’s prestigious Waterfront Hall by replacing outdated washrooms with innovative, contemporary and long-lasting systems. Working closely with Belfast City Council’s in house architects, Petal collaborated with fit-out sub-contractors EDS NI to achieve stand-out results for this project.

Petal’s Line Plus WC cubicles achieve a floor to ceiling height of 2.4m with a 50mm floor clearance, giving maximum privacy to cubicle occupants for the ultimate in user experience. With flush fronted, rebated doors and hardwood edges, this cubicle solution achieves a premium result in a cost-effective way, achieving all the features normally only experienced in much more expensive solutions. A specification of Primeval Oak provides a bright, natural aesthetic.

A flexible approach to washroom design ensures every project enjoys a bespoke result and, as is the case in this project, the quality is evident throughout the installation. The vanity units, which have been sourced from an innovative new supplier and are the first of their kind to be used on a Petal project, also include sloped access panels on the vanity frames. A graphite grey colour was used for the sloped panels to match with the floor tiles, demonstrating a very considered colour selection.

Petal’s in-house developed hinged IPS panels allow easy access for maintenance. In response to legislation on outward opening doors, Petal has also developed a more streamline approach to hinge fittings, making the opening mechanism sleeker and also improving the aesthetic of the cubicles.

Feedback on the project from all parties involved has been overwhelmingly positive, with the quality of the systems installed and the partnership approach from the outset all being commended by the client. The results help to elevate this venue to the required premium level, given that it attracts audiences from all over the world.
