Heathrow Terminal 5

Petal supplied and installed a vast array of premium bespoke cubicle & washroom solutions for this prestigious project at London Heathrow’s Terminal 5. Working alongside contractor London Office Interiors and Architect Millar Design & Management, Petal worked to answer the brief of providing a high-quality finish for this staff facility for British Airways employees.

Petal was provided with stripped back walls for this project, for which we provided an 11mm thick, high pressure laminated tongue and groove wall lining around all surfaces including walls, columns and door frames. This panelling approach achieved a seamless result for the client. Petal also installed all internal and external corner SAA trims which leave a very clean and hygienic setting thereafter, as well contributing to the overall aesthetic for the completed works.

Line Ultra WC cubicles provide a luxurious finish and achieve full privacy for the user with their 2700mm height. Male washroom facilities are complete with 10mm toughened safety glass modesty screens using a bespoke RAL colour match and complete with floor to ceiling circular SAA anchor post. Additional bespoke glass cubicles at 2m height were also supplied for a changing area with bench seating enclosed.

The premium experience carries through to a series of solid surface vanity units and grooming stations, all helping to achieve a positive user experience for travel-weary airline staff. Vanity stations are complete with Petal’s Trio Mirror Housing Unit, with calibrated gas struts for smooth action opening  to allow maintenance access to the supplied infra-red soap dispensers and hand driers.

The result of this combination of premium materials and systems is a noteworthy installation and once which provides the level of comfort, privacy and positive user experience required for the staff of this major international airline.
