Kildare Innovation Centre

Petal’s bespoke washroom design and fit service proved to be the ideal hardware solution for this impressive European tech innovation centre in County Kildare.

Petal’s Line Plus cubicles, with a flush front finish and unbroken lines, provide a sleek appearance and with rebated doors achieve a premium effect generally only associated with more expensive solutions. The light woodgrain effect laminate was sensitively chosen to present a strong aesthetic. The cubicles were installed at an overall height of 2.4 metres, with a floor clearance of 100mm, achieving enhanced privacy for occupants.

For ambulant and enlarged cubicles, Petal’s P300 APS was also installed in a matching laminate. This choice of duct & access panels includes 12mm thick high-performance panelling with soft radiused edges – making them ideal for this high footfall location and the rigorous cleaning regime the panels are subject to.

Stepped vanity troughs are manufactured from Tristone Pure White solid surface material which provides the same blend of premium appearance and durability that is imperative for this project.

Petal worked closely alongside the T&I Fit-out site team on this project to ensure the vision was brought to life as intended. Although installation was completed by Petal’s experienced fitting team, the T&I Fit-out team added the finishing touches in the form of gable sidings in a stained ribbed wood effect with black in-fill panels, which enhances the setting even further.

This project at Kildare Innovation Centre forms part of a huge upgrade to the existing facility which will see this already impressive site transform over the next 10-15 years into a state-of-the-art Science, Innovation and Technology campus. This plan for the future of the campus represents the future in innovation and technology, encompassing areas such as deeptech, quantum computing, photonics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, life sciences and more. The site already provides a European home for some of the world’s largest tech corporations including Google, Meta, Apple, Microsoft, Intel and many others.
