Sancroft – Staff Facilities

A combination of lockers and bench seating, together with solid surface vanity units and grooming stations help create a beautiful space for staff of this prestigious Paternoster Square commercial office space in London.

Working with Buckley Gray Yeoman architects, main contractor McLaughlin & Harvey and specialist sub contractors Guildprime, Petal manufactured and installed a solution which achieved a hard wearing, practical finish whilst adhering to the high specification design vision which pervades this project.

Petal’s attention to detail for the staff facilities in the sub-basement level of this London project help create a result every bit as impressive as the Premium washroom facilities in the floors above.

Given the nature of this area – where an excess of moisture is present because of the shower units – careful consideration was placed on performance of the systems employed, with moisture resistance an important feature in material choices. Petal’s Action lockers are manufactured with 12mm CGL doors, full height aluminium bodies, and high impact polystyrene plastic tops, shelves and bases for lifelong service and maximum performance in areas of high moisture. A total of 575 Z-style lockers were installed in this staff area, achieving a dramatic appearance across this space, especially given the choice of an AR+ gloss laminate finish.

The choice of Douglas Fir hardwood bench seating provides a striking contrast to the lockers above, and again achieves a strong, durable finish befitting of the performance required for this area. Each bench frame is fabricated in strong mild steel section and painted in a light grey powder coated finish making them suitable for use in wet or dry changing rooms. Combined with a hardwood slat finish, the result is a highly robust solution which does not compromise on design vision.

Solid surface grooming stations / vanity units complete the premium finish on this project, with seamless joints and rounded edges achieving a look in keeping with the overall effect. The hard-wearing qualities of solid surface combined with the flush finish, make it an ideal choice for areas where style and performance are the prominent considerations.
