Petal’s new architectural aluminium wall panelling – Kobert-In – provided the stand out feature in both aesthetics and ease of installation for this refurbishment project at Westpark Fitness in Tallaght, Co. Dublin. Kobert-In High Gloss Carrara PE was utilised for all internal wall linings within the shower, gable ends to the WC area as well as along the corridor in and around the steam room and sauna windows. Its 100% waterproof property makes it the ideal material for each of these areas. The lightweight aluminium panelling is a premium alternative to tiling for luxury fit-out. Easily fitted by joiners, it allows a project to run seamlessly without the delay of having to wait for specialist tilers.

Petal’s Sprint standard height cubicles with Abet Ice White and Graphite Gloss finish provide a complementary aesthetic to the wall panelling and importantly possess the required waterproofness and robustness to cope with the demanding combination of heat and moisture in this leisure setting. These were paired with Petal’s P300 duct access panelling in Abet Graphite Matt finish to achieve a colour match whilst introducing an alternative finish to distinguish from the cubicles themselves.

The project was complete with the addition of a Tristone trough style vanity unit in Carrara Lunar colour – a beautiful contrast to the graphite grey surround. Tristone is an acrylic solid surface, the ideal material that combines practicality, durability, and elegance as demonstrated in this installation.
